  • Select one of the visual art pieces from the chapter to use as a point of inspiration
  • Create an art piece inspired by your selected art piece
  • Write a one-page reflection about the relationship between your art production and the inspiration piece
  • Create a 5-minute narrated PowerPoint for this week

Include the following in the reflection paper:

  • Inspiration Piece
    • Record the title, artist, year, place of origin.
    • Explain the context and artistic movement.
  • Your Original Artwork
    • Methods: paint, watercolor, pencil, crayon, marker, collage, sculpture

    • Provide a title.
    • Explain the narrative of your piece and the connection to the inspiration.

Include the following in the presentation:

  • Provide an introduction.
  • Explain and show your inspiration piece.
  • Describe and show your art piece.
  • Explain the thematic connection between the two pieces.

  1. Using Excel prepare a pro forma income statement. What percentage increase in sales would enable the company to reach its goal?
  2. The market may become stagnant next year, and the company does not expect an increase in sales revenue. The production manager believes that an improved production procedure can cut cost of goods sold by 2 percent. Prepare a pro forma income statement still assuming the President’s goal to increase net income by 15 percent. Calculate the required reduction in selling & administrative expenses to achieve the budgeted net income.
  3. The company decides to escalate its advertising campaign to boost consumer recognition, which will increase selling and administrative expenses to $347,000. With the increased advertising, the company expects sales revenue to increase by 15 percent. Assume that cost of goods sold remains a constant proportion of sales. Prepare a pro forma income statement. Will the company reach its goal?

Weeks 1 Project Risks and Risk Management Strategies Project

Part 1

Submit your MS Project schedule from Weeks 1–4, making any necessary changes based on feedback from your instructor and peers. The plan should include the following:

  • A project schedule made up of a 4-level WBS decomposed to the work package level with at least 9 tasks in each
  • At least 4 major milestones (make sure those are checked as milestones)
  • People and other resources assigned to each of the tasks

The format should be a Project file, PDF, or other format noted by your instructor.

Besides the Project plan, make any necessary changes for your RASCI matrix and risk matrix based on feedback from your instructor and peers. Submit your updated RASCI matrix and risk matrix in a Word or Excel file.

Part 2

In your MS Project file, under the option “Reports,” choose 1 of the visual reports, and prepare a memo in Word (using memo format) to your manager that describes a summary of the project schedule. Within this memo, include the following items:

  • A discussion of the project’s deliverable and a listing of the work packages in the project
    • You may provide a chart that shows the work packages similar to the example provided to you in Unit 1.
  • A listing of the major tasks needed to complete the project’s deliverable based on the work breakdown structure
  • A list of the project’s high-level milestones
  • The overall project budget estimation
    • You can take a screen capture of this from your MS Project file. Go to the Reports option and then Task Cost Overview
  • The major project risks and risk management strategies
  • A discussion of the visual report you chose, noting the importance of this report in describing the project
  • The project RASCI matrix
  • Any APA citations and references necessary need to be added into your References section, including your textbook
