Many people who are important to the jewish faith is also very important to the catholic faith. Christianity is simply a branch of jewdism, aand jesus chriat himself was a jew. The jewish scripture is thebcathilc old testament signiying that our rekigions are very similar, and began the same way. In this case, it wiuld only make sense that Rahab was important to the start of both religions. Rahab was a convert, who at one point made her life as a prostitue, but realized her mistakes followed the way of the jews and even eventually died for her faith. Rahab recognized the one true god and followed him, she became an ancestorof both king david and jesus, and she was very loyal to both her word and her faith. It is for all these reasons and more that Rahad is important to both the jewish and catholic religions.

2nd student response:

I think Rahab is important to both Jewish and Christian literature, because as the YouTube video pointed out, for a very long time religion was polytheistic. When monotheism came about, it was a very new idea. Rahab was one of the people who converted to monotheism. She was also someone who was viewed to be very religious. I think that she was much like a role model to others. That is one reason why I think that it is worthy for her to be studied in both religions. I also think that she is discussed in both religions, because some believe that other women that appear in the Bible are really Rahab. I also think that she is seen as courageous and that she made a sacrifice. She did this by hiding the spies in her house and than making them escape successfully. If she had caught, she most likely would have been killed.
