Assignment 1:

What makes Warby Parker the best company to work for?

Warby Parker is so far one of the best companies to work for because of several reasons. The Company has enjoyed a favorable position in the glass-wear market ever since it was established in 2010. The business has experienced a continuous overcoming the many organizational problems and challenges. Success comes from a series of achievements, and this is only possible through a combined effort of the management and the employees. The only reason employees can be that cooperate with a satisfactory outcome is if the company is considerate in motivating them (Cameron & Quinn, 2011). This makes Warby Parker a company with a comfortable environment for their workers.

Warby Parker practices that shape the organizational environment

The company has sensible objectives and strategies to be followed in the organization. The primary factor of growth and success for this glass-wear supplier is its strategic culture that emphasizes promoting employee motivation, teamwork, and consumer satisfaction. Warby Parker relies on their culture which insists the employees, consumers, the environment, and the society are crucial in their existence hence deserve the first priority. Every worker deserves the satisfaction of knowing that their management cares about the internal and external outcome of their actions (Cameron & Quinn, 2011). The real force that drives the success and respect of the Warber Parker Company is a set of cultures. Developing a company culture that cares about the external and internal environment is the first step to success.

The company also has regulatory elements which support the unity, guidance and employee motivation, a healthy workplace competition, and setting up company policies. A set of strategic habits helps to create the brand image making the company popular and so will the employees (Cameron & Quinn, 2011). An upright company has influence and a rich reference on an employee’s resume. It also promotes workplace equality by dismissing the actual background differences among the employees. Additionally, such a culture encourages a comfortable association among the workers; such an environment promotes a maximum productivity and performance.

The Warby Parker daily culture

The Warby Parker culture has simple actions and details but influences great impacts. Its core values are aimed at controlling the daily work environment and routines (Lublin & Ruderman, 2015). The culture is a set of rules that include: servicing the community, providing customer interaction with a customer satisfaction analysis, employee friendly conditions that promote creativity and cooperation and manufacturing friendly carbon-neutral eyewear. The most emphasized aspect of the operations is employee motivation by organizing, quarterly company surprises, outings, employee relationship building and fun-themed competitions. Every employee knows the significance of being motivated as a morale-boosting and attitude influencing act.

There is also an excellent routine where they give a new employee the Kerouac and pretzels products as a welcoming gift (Kane, 2017). The new employee ends up feeling welcomed and that they are in an employee-friendly environment. Before introducing this culture as a routine, workers were hired, oriented and introduced to the system; this is an everyday behavior that can be found anywhere which makes such a company as usual as any other. Lack of articulated criteria or values of a company for its employees and customers does not make them feel special. The habit of thinking about the community and environment by introducing carbon-neutral eyewear brands is also attractive to both the employees and outsiders. The company took this initiative after researching on carbon emissions from their manufacturing. This is a community-friendly act that even an employee would be happy about.

Individual behaviors and their contribution to the company success

Warby Parker company founders decided to be conscious of their employees after analyzing their personal experiences. They note that hiring the young people reminded them of theory baby steps in the industry. Since they had passed through the same road, they knew the specific improvements that had to be adjusted. They then decided on what type of business they hoped to build. The executives examined crucial business-related issues and what they want as their basic values and whether the organization should be a shareholder-centric or stakeholder-centric (Kane, 2017). Thirdly, the founders knew that there is no success without unity so they organized a questioning exercise involving the entire company and any other interested personnel to express their views, opinions, and contributions. Different issues were covered in this exercise; it is wise to listen to other people because things can be seen from different perspectives. This makes Warby Parker company one of the most informed around and that is probably why they know how to deal with the many problems that arise during operations.

Human behavior determines how people associate; a considerate employer is definitely going to create a comfortable environment for their workforce. It is especially special because these employers were once in the same shoe and understand the relevant contribution of employees to productivity. This is the type of a company that does not need to be reminded of what their workers need, as much as they are profit oriented, they have made it possible for the results to stream in uninterrupted (Kane, 2017). There is no history or instances of employee strikes and uprisings, every job seeker would be so glad to work in such a company. Apart from the contribution of the management, there must be a good relationship between the workers for cooperation. Human contribution and relation are still significant in a working environment. Nobody wants to work with people who are chaotic, bullies or picky.

The role of the management in making a company successful

Every decision that has been made in Warby Parker Company is because of the management. Leaders have all the power and the success of their operations depend on their strategies and how they support the employees (Lublin & Ruderman, 2015). Management skills are needed when taking leading a company and coming up with an impressive environment, they include the ability to build responsive and effective interpersonal relationships, building teams, understanding financial and social effects and their impacts on the employees and leading by example. These are among the many skills that Warby Parker Company Executives have employed.

Organizational cultures are concrete implementations; this is the primary factor that has made Warber Parker a much company with satisfactory worker-related preferences. Favorable company conditions like the ones adopted in this company attract a high number of employees to the benefit of the company who can then chose the right candidates. It is required that when developing policies directed to the employees; the leaders should also make control measures (Cameron & Quinn, 2011). A lot of freedom comes with problems so employees should know the consequences of their behaviors if they negatively affect a business. But the fact that the company has favorable conditions makes it one of the best choices to work for.

In conclusion, Warby Parker Company is the best company to work for because of their emphasis on making their employees the first priority. The organization has managed to apply the advantage of organizational cultures to promote their company and create a comfortable working environment for their employees. The founders decided to be conscious of their employees after analyzing their personal experiences which makes them dedicated to ensuring a comfortable environment for their workforce. Every individual wish to work where they are given the first priority.
